Hery Lazuardi

JAKARTA - Major Indonesian freight forwarder PT FPS Indonesia is playing host to an international gathering of over 100 freight industry executives, as it organises the 2015 Annual General Meeting and Conference of the FPS Group from 23-26 November in Jakarta.

FPS Indonesia is the Indonesian member of the FPS global freight forwarding network, of which it was also a founder. FPS Group was launched in 1998 and now comprises 174 offices in 45 countries.

The FPS AGM and Conference will update all members on progress over the past year, and will also include educational sessions on a variety of topics including IT and marketing.

The week's events will also feature two days of 1-to-1 meetings between members, when they will discuss mutual business opportunities. The programme will culminate in a city tour of Jakarta.

"It is a great honour to host the AGM and receive our FPS friends once again, as we last did in 2011 in Bali. We look forward to a productive and enjoyable week of events," said FPS Indonesia Chairman Iskandar Zulkarnain, Tuesday (24/11/2015).

He added FPS Group is one of the longest-established, largest and most successful freight agent networks, and provides his company with essential global coverage that benefits many customers buying from and selling to overseas markets. "We are proud to be a founder, and to continue as the Indonesian member."

Zulkarnain is also a member of the FPS Group Advisory Board, which manages the network and coordinates policy, expansion and marketing.

FPS Indonesia has been providing global freight services since 1991. The company now has 12 branches throughout Indonesia, and provides ocean and airfreight forwarding, domestic distribution, project cargo handling and warehousing services.
